I am Laura, wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. I have been married for 6 years now and we have a great little boy, Ethan and a sweet little girl, Kate. I love the fall and holidays. I really enjoy baking around this time and love having family around. Love watching my kids change and grow everyday and too see what next they will come up with. Texas Food and Wine Festival
We went the the Food and Wine Festival this last weekend - girl's day - at Salt Lick! It was a lot of fun. If you have not been before, you must go. Nothing like drinking some wine and eating all day! Great weather and a good group of girls. Rain boots were the perfect item of the day - tons of mud, but did not matter with rain boots!

Snow Day!
We finally got some snow here in Austin. Just some pictures from the front of my office.
This is a big snow flake on the sleeve of my sweater. Pretty cool - we don't see that too much in Austin.
Volunteering at Marathon for Kids
Last Saturday the family volunteered at Marathon for Kids for Whole Foods Market. Ethan and I handed out water the kids that were running. We had a good time! Afterward we all went and ate at RED ROBIN - good food and kids eat free all day every day...can't say NO!
Hello Again - My Friends
Hello All,
I have not blogged in several months and am trying to get back into it. I started a new job - which I am LOVING - and have not had the time or energy to keep this up. Now that I am into the swing of things - I think - I will try and keep this going.
With the new job I am having to get up around 4:30 AM and need to leave the house around 6:30 AM with the kids. My GOAL was to get up at 4 AM - Run - Start getting ready at 4:30AM - Be dressed at 6:00AM - Get the kids up and dressed and fed - Get out the door by 6:30AM ish. Get the kids to daycare and me to the office by 8:00AM. So far so good...less the 4AM run. STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS.
If I have not said...I LOVE MY JOB! Not a look that will appear in Cosmo or Lucky.

I now work with Whole Foods Market Southwest Region Store Development Team. Very cool and am really enjoying it!

Kate's New Hair Style
Kate has always had a pretty good head of hair. It is growing out and now starting to hang in her face. I can't stand that - so we have found a new hair style. Pretty cute!
Kate's First Birtday!!!
On Saturday, November 14th we had Kate's First Birthday party! It was a great day...Kate looked so cute in her special birthday outfit, wonderful cupcakes and great friends and family. I can not believe how fast the time has gone...1 YEAR!!!
