Sea World

Went with some 'buddies' from school to SEA WORLD! It was Ethan's first trip and we had a GREAT time! Landon buddie, Christian buddie and Rocky buddie and their mommy's went with us. The boys were great, the weather was great...all around fun, fun!

Steve Lacy is the Head Trainer for the sea lions and a friend from high school. He gave us the VIP tour...very cool!

Ethan's first ride on a rollercoaster. He loved it so much we rode 4 times. In the spirit of riding rollercoasters I taught him to hold his arms up with hands in the air and when to smile for the camera!

Weekend Activities

We finally got a weekend that was not planned out every minute!!! Got a chance to lounge around a bit on Saturday before we had to leave for Sarah's Birthday party at PUMP IT UP. Ethan and his friend Landon jumped a ton and then played a little Air Hockey. Mom and Kate even came in for a quick picture.

On Sunday, Nanis came in and we went out in the chilly, rain to the San Marcos Outlets. Nothing like a little Starbucks hot chocolate to make the trip even more fun! I got a Pumpkin Spice Latte...AWESOME! Gotta have one if you have not;0)

Halloween Gear

Since we broke out our Halloween PJs, why not wear a Halloween outfit to school! Better to wear it now, because you can't wear Halloween shirts after the holiday...

Breaking out Halloween PJs

With the start of October we decided to break out our new Halloween PJs. This is Kate's first Halloween and the last of her FIRST holidays:0( Pretty sad...she has grown so fast! Ethan got glow in the dark SKELETON pjs and Kate got 'UNDER MY SPELL' pjs. Ethan was pretty excited...he is pumped about "Halloween Day."

DIY Project

I love watching DIY Network and HGTV! Love getting new ideas and seeing what projects people 'try' to attack (if you watch Renovation Realities you know what I mean). One night I got the BRILLIANT idea to refinish our hand-me-down breakfast table. Saw a picture in a magazine for the inspiration of colors and it seems to be an easy project according to Design Star...so why not?

PROJECT: refinish (paint and stain) 6 chairs and table with leaf

BUDGET: $100 - $150

TIME: before the holidays 2009 (should be plenty of time!)

I work on this after the kids go to bed for about 2 hours. I do not work on it everynight, but I try. It seems to be taking about 4 hours/chair. I have 2.5 chairs sanded. Maybe HOLIDAYS 2010 is a more reasonable time frame...

Bath Time

Every night is bath time for Kate and Ethan. We bathe them together which works out pretty well and the kids have fun together. Nothing like taking a few bath time pics.

San Antonio Zoo trip

We decided to do a trip to the San Antonio Zoo on Sunday. It had to be the BEST day ever at the zoo - weather wise! AWESOME!!!! This was both Bo and Kate's first trip to the SA Zoo. Ethan had been before when he was 2, but didn't remember. That Sunday morning Ethan had asked if Kate went with us the last time and I told him 'no' because Kate was not born yet. He then turned to Kate and said, "...you can't go to the zoo with us today because you are not born yet!" Too funny!
